Joyce Tamale is a strategic leader, financial management Professional and a Sustainability expert, committed to changing lives of people through social enterprises that touch lives within Africa and globally. Joyce is a Certified Public Accountant and a Fellow of ACCA. She is passionate about sustainability and has wide auditing experience, with over 20 years’ experience working in the private and social sector. Joyce is currently the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Capital Solutions Ltd a Social enterprise which has transformed thousands of social enterprises in Africa to become sustainable.
Joyce brings a wealth of experience to the KCB Uganda board. Her wide governance experience spans 15 years where she has served in different Board roles. Currently she serves as the Chairperson of the Uganda Reinsurance (UgandaRe), Board member and Chairperson Audit Committee KCB Uganda, and Board Member/Treasurer of Humentum USA. Chairperson Emeritus of the Forum for Women in Democracy (FOWODE), former Chairperson of the Institute for Social Transformation, and founded/Chaired the 3,000 members Luzira Alliance Savings and Credit Cooperative Society (LASCCO 2008-2018). Joyce previously Chaired the ACCA Uganda Members’ Network Panel (2014-2016). Joyce also served as Chairperson Audit and Risk Committee Land and equity movement in Uganda (2011-2016).
Joyce has previously served as the Managing Director (MD) & Director Finance & Investments with the Uganda Health Marketing Group (UHMG). She has served in various capacities with EASSI, Save the Children and PwC.
Joyce holds a Doctorate of Business Administration from the Swiss School of Business Management (SSBM) Geneva Switzerland, possesses a Master’s in Business Administration from ESAMI, and a post Graduate diploma in Sustainable leadership from the Swedish Institute Management Programme Stockholm (SIMP).
