We are cognizant of the regulatory responsibilities of a trustee. We, therefore, specialize in managing both unit trusts and retirement schemes to remove the exposure of non-compliance.

As the fund’s trustee, it is our responsibility to ensure that the retirement schemes and unit trust managers follow the rules set forth in the fund’s documents, which include the trust deed, disclosure documents and the law/regulations.

Our duties and services as trustees include:

  • Producing offer documents.
  • Adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Custody services.
  • Oversight over scheme service providers.
  • Scheme administration.
  • Investment compliance monitoring.
  • Oversight over subscriptions and redemptions.
  • Administering the scheme in accordance with the provisions of the Capital Markets.
  • Authority and Uganda Retirement Benefits Regulatory Authority.
  • Acting with impartiality in respect of all members and beneficiaries of the schemes.
  • Acting with due care, diligence, and good faith.
  • Convening Trustee/Annual General Meetings (AGMs).
  • Ensuring timely contributions are remitted.
  • Ensuring documents binding the scheme(s) are professionally prepared.
