Minimum tenor for a fixed deposit is one month.

The minimum amount for a fixed deposit is UGX 10 million.

KCB deals in the following currencies; U.S Dollar(USD), British Sterling Pound(GBP), Euro (EUR), Japanese Yen(JPY), Canadian Dollar (CAD), Kenyan Shilling(KES), Tanzanian Shilling (TZS) ,Rwandan Franc(RWF).

• For non customers, a limit of USD 5,000 is the maximum amount that can be exchanged.

Yes, customers can terminate a fix deposit before the maturity dayte, however, the interest to be earned will be foregone.

We currently fix funds in Uganda shillings only.

Yes a customer cana invest in government securities, but should have a Central Securities Depository (CSD) account opened through KCB.

Yes a customer can open a CSD account, but should have a Uganda Shillings (UGX) account with KCB.
