Business Development Officer

JOB PURPOSE

Reports to the Business Development Manager. The Business Development Officer(Accounting) will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing strategic partnerships and initiatives that align with the bank’s social impact goals. This role supports the bank’s corporate social responsibility strategy by driving community engagement, mobilizing resources and expanding outreach programs that promote financial inclusion, education, sustainability and social development. providing accounting support to the KCB Foundation Programs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify foundation projects aligned with social investment goals.
  • Develop and implement community programs in financial literacy, education, and entrepreneurship.
  • Build and maintain relationships with NGOs, government agencies, and stakeholders.
  • Represent the foundation at events and forums.
  • Train beneficiaries in financial literacy, business development, and vocational skills.
  • Guide startups in business planning and sustainability.
  • Monitor financial support programs and loan performance.
  • Prepare proposals, evaluate funding requests, and oversee fund utilization.
  • Track program impact, assess results, and document successes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review of business records and books of account.
  • Data management and reporting
  • Conduct and facilitate training sessions and program events.
  • Guide beneficiaries in developing and refining business plans.
  • Engage stakeholders and coordinate resources for day-to-day program operations.
  • Document program activities and prepare financial reports, including success stories and testimonials
