Assistant Relationship Manager SME-Ndeeba
Job Purpose
The primary responsibility of this role is to drive growth in the SME (Small and Medium Enterprise) segment through strategic business acquisition, relationship management and delivery of exceptional customer service. The role significantly contributes to the bank’s balance sheet by growing both funded and non-funded income, in line with retail and overall bank targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Acquire new SME clients to grow the SME loan portfolio and deposit base.
- Deepen relationships with existing SME customers to drive wallet share and customer retention.
- Deliver superior customer service to enhance the overall customer experience.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities across bank products and services.
- Contribute to the growth of both funded (loan) and non-funded (fee-based) income.
- Maintain a healthy loan portfolio by ensuring quality credit underwriting and portfolio monitoring.
- Support the bank’s strategic goals by aligning activities with retail and overall bank growth objectives.
Essential Skills
- A relevant degree in relevant business discipline, any professional qualification in general banking is an added advantage.
- At least 2 years' experience in sales and services and their relevance to SME customers
- Ability to identify, analyze and structure consumer lending requirements
- Through knowledge of banking products and services
- Demonstrate knowledge of Digital Financial Services and their relevance to customers
- Strong communications, negotiation and interpersonal skills with ability to win businesses
